Face it, you have either been there or you are getting ready to be if you do a lot of fishing.  Load everything up, head out to the lake/stream/river/ocean, get there and either during the unload or walk to the water you catch your rod and break off the tip.  If you find yourself in the least bit prepaired you can save yourself the embaressing ride back home without any fishing at all.

What you need:
1. Rod Tips: Can be simple black, glow in the dark, or suited to your specific rod.

2. Glue Stick:  These come from most any type of general store, get the kind that go into a small glue gun, you only need one at a time in your tackle box but you will have extras to leave at home.

3. A working lighter:  Don't assume you will have one in your pocket or car.  If your tip breaks, you won't have it.

What to do:
When you break the tip of your rod, simply get out your materials, use the lighter to melt some of the glue from the stick onto the broken end of your rod and then slide the new rod tip on.  Give it 5 minutes to set and you are ready to fish!
